THE HISTORY
The Ontario Knife Company was founded in 1889 in Naples, New York. They are currently located in Franklinville, New York, in Catrogos County, where most of their products are manufactured.
Ontario Knife Company is the most famous supplier of military knives. Over the years, they have provided the U.S. military with products such as the M7 bayonet, the U.S. Air Force survival knife, the M1942 scimitar, the Navy MK3 MOD 0 diving/survival knife, the M9 bayonet, and most recently the USMC OKC-3S bayonet. They also obtained a A contract to build the Crew Survival Export Knife (ASEK) Survival Knife System, the US Army chose to include it in its air fighter equipment system. This knife has been tested and approved by PM Soldiers and the US Army Soldier System Center, and meets the standards defined by the US Army. Features include plexiglass breakers, hammers, serrations, serrations, spear holes, lanyard holes, and insulating shields.
DEVELOPMENT
To supplement their lineup of military problem knives, Ontario Knife Company produces several commercial lines, including the Specification-Plus series, which features many popular military/survival blade designs with updated handle and scabbard designs, and freedom fighter series designs. There are metal handles and pommels with military/survival blades. Their Randall’s Adventure & Training survival knife was designed in conjunction with Randall’s Adventure & Training. Randall’s Adventure & Training is a popular outdoor survival training and adventure company. The lineup includes the original RTAK (originally produced by Newt Livesay Blades), as well as TAK-1 and RAT-7, both of which have been adopted by the US military. [Reference required]
Ontario Knife Company has also established partnerships with other designers[1], such as Justin Gingrich, Bram Frank, and the famous Bowie knife expert and knife manufacturer Bill Bagwell, and launched several low-cost versions of Bagwell’s famous designs.
In addition to their sports/outdoor knives, Ontario Knives also produces a large number of other knives and tools, including old pecan kitchen knives, industrial and agricultural products, and Sci-Med scientific tools and instruments. Ontario Knife is also a major supplier of its own brand blades and knives.

The company is probably best known for their military knives and outdoor fixed blade patterns for hard use. The irony is that I have been reviewing their folding knives most of the time, but I am very happy to have one of their machete, which is really terrible.
